The Meraki Initiative is a non-profit organization striving to raise awareness/funds for social justice and health promotion. We work to enact positive butterfly effects within our local and global communities.

The Meraki Initiative is a Canadian non-profit organization led by a group of university-high school students across Canada. Meraki is a modern Greek word that means to do something with passion, soul, creativity; it essentially means to put a part of yourself into your work We believe that this word symbolizes our beliefs and goals for this initiative. All members of our team are immensely passionate about creating change and establishing equity within society. We are routinely working on a variety of projects ranging from community volunteering to social media activism. Feel free to survey our website to learn more about our projects and goals!
Some of our PROJECTS
The Meraki Peer Mentorship Program
A free mentorship program for students with learning disabilities, BIPOC students, and immigrant students. We aim to provide students with a safe environment that will allow them to comfortably learn and play alongside our enthusiastic volunteers. All students will be matched with a mentor who is best suited for them. Weekly mentoring sessions and fun monthly classes will be provided.
